Moving Forward by God’s Design (Click here to read)

September 11, 2025

We acknowledge the weight of Charlie Kirk’s death — not to dwell on the tragedy, but to recognize how God often works powerfully through the sacrifice of His people.

Charlie’s passion was debating truth with young people lost in today’s lies. He lived to make a difference for God’s Kingdom and, as his wife said, “to make Heaven crowded.”

This is not a time for the Church to shrink back, but to move forward by God’s design.

1. We are to be Anchored in Christ: The Truth That Sets Us Free

“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32).

  • Today’s culture numbs people with lies — redefining identity, purpose, even morality.
  • Fear and anxiety come when we lean out of faith in truth and lean into the fear of lies.
  • We must be anchored in Jesus, or we will lose our minds to the chaos of this world.

How do we Apply the truth?

  • Men and women of God must return to Scripture daily, letting the Spirit renew our minds (Romans 12:2).
  • We cannot debate lies with opinion — only with God’s truth.

2. We must continue Moving Forward, Never Behind

Paul’s example: Philippians 3:13–14“Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”  Paul didn’t deny his past (failures, sufferings, even accomplishments), but he refused to let them define his future. His eyes were fixed on Christ and the eternal reward.

Charlie Kirk lived this — he moved forward by design, God’s design for maturing man:

  • To be redeemed;
  • To mature in faith; and
  • To make a difference for God’s Kingdom.

The Church cannot afford to get stuck in fear, regret, or apathy.

Lot’s wife looked back and was destroyed. Looking back at comfort, sin, or safety will keep us from God’s mission.

3. We must remember that the Great Commission Is Our Purpose

Too many Christian men are immature, distracted, and numb. They miss the Great Commission because they miss their purpose given by God Himself.

“Go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19–20). This is not optional — it is the mission of every believer.

Charlie’s life reminds us: the goal is not to win arguments, but to win souls. His legacy points us to “making Heaven crowded.” (stated his wife in her address to the nation)

Evangelism is not for “the few”; it is the call of every believer.

Discipleship is not optional — redeemed men must grow into maturity to carry the mission forward. If we’re not maturing, we’re living outside of our design.

4. Charlie made the ultimate sacrifice, and Sacrifice Leads to Gods Glory

“Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit” (John 12:24).

God always brings glory from the sacrifice of His people.

Charlie Kirk’s death must not silence truth — it must multiply it.

So, will we waste his sacrifice by remaining silent and apathetic? Or, will we honor it by boldly speaking truth, discipling others, and pointing people to Christ?

How the Church’s should Response

  • We must rise up with anchored faith, renewed minds, and Spirit-filled courage.

The world is numb, but the Church must be awake. The call is clear: redeemed, matured, and mobilized men and women of God who will not miss their purpose, but fulfill the Great Commission.

So let us look forward, never behind; Let us speak truth in love, even in a culture drowning in lies; and let us live to make Heaven crowded.
